…Appoints ex-council chairman as SA Youth Mobilisation
The governor of Edo State, Sen. Monday Okpebholo has approved the nomination of four commissioner-designates.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, on Friday.
Those nominated are; Ohimai Ehijimetor, Eugenia Abdallah, Hon. Godwin Afekokhe Eshieshi and Prince Kassim Afegbua.
OHIMAI EHIJIMETOR
A result-oriented Civil Engineering graduate of the University of Benin, Ohimai Ehijimetor possesses over 14 years of experience in project management, team leadership, and business development. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Jackhammar Services Limited.
EUGENIA ABDALLAH
Eugenia Abdallah is a creative, self-directed executive and an excellent team player, with qualifications in Humanities and Administration. She brings to the role over 10 years of experience in the banking industry.
HON. GODWIN AFEKOKHE ESHIESHI
Hon. Godwin Afekokhe Eshieshi is an astute politician, businessman and community Ieader, holding degrees in Government and Public Administration as well as International Relations. He previously served as a Member of the Edo State House of Assembly (1992 – 1993) and as Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council (May 1999 – April 2002).
PRINCE KASSIM AFEGBUA
Prince Kassim Afegbua is a seasoned journalist, public affairs commentator, and politician with extensive experience in governance and media strategy. A graduate in English and Literary Studies with further training in media relations and political communication, he has served in various advisory capacities, including as Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Edo State and Special Adviser on Media to a former Governor of Edo State.
According to the SSG, the nominations will be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.
Meanwhile, the Governor further approved the appointment of Aigbogun Collins, the immediate past Chairman of Esan West Local Government Council as Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Mobilization and Osobase Oboaguina as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilisation, Edo Central.
