Just In: Okada Riders Protest Over Seizure Of Motorcycles By Lagos Taskforce

Commercial motorcycle riders, known as Okada riders, on Friday protested the seizure of their motorcycles by the Lagos State Task Force Team.

Eyewitness said that the task force team dislodged the Okada riders and seized their motorcycles in the Alakija area of the state.

The eyewitness explained that the motorcycles were seized and carried into the task force van, adding that the action prompted the motorcycle operators to mobilise to confront the taskforce officials.

It was gathered that the Okada riders set bonfire on the road as the van carrying the motorcycles left the scene.

Some policemen arrived at the scene and teargased the protesting Okada riders.
