Arsenal Beat Slavia Prague To Extend Unbeaten Champions League Run

Viktor Gyokeres scored and assisted as Arsenal beat Slavia Prague to remain unbeaten after four matches of the Champions League league phase.

Mikel Arteta made six changes from Sunday’s win over Liverpool, with Gyokeres starting in attack.

He set up Noni Madueke for the ninth-minute opener before doubling Arsenal’s lead before half-time with a curling effort off the post after combining with Mikel Merino.

Slavia improved after the break, but David Raya saved from Oskar Kubiak and Gabriel Magalhaes cleared Mojmir Chytil’s header off the line.

Wiktor Nowak pulled one back in the 90th minute, but Arsenal held on for a 2-1 victory.

The Gunners are third in the standings, behind Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
