LASCOPA Strengthens Consumer Protection With Mobile Phones For Annex Offices

The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) has provided heads of its annex offices with mobile phones to enhance communication, accelerate consumer complaint reporting and improve service delivery across the state.

The initiative was announced following a one-day interactive engagement organised by the agency for its management team, annex office heads and other staff members.

The General Manager and Chief Executive Officer, Afolabi Solebo, Esq., said the engagement was designed to strengthen workplace relations, promote fairness and mutual respect, and deepen staff understanding of the agency’s operational responsibilities.

He explained that the mobile devices would enable annex offices to communicate more effectively through LASCOPA’s toll-free helpline, facilitate prompt reporting of consumer complaints and improve coordination with the agency’s headquarters.

The engagement also provided an opportunity for staff to share experiences, address operational challenges and explore ways to foster a more supportive and productive working environment.

LASCOPA said the initiative aligns with the Lagos State Government’s THEMES+ Agenda, particularly its commitment to consumer protection, the promotion of consumer rights and improved public service delivery.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its operations to ensure that residents across the state have access to timely, efficient and responsive consumer protection services.
