Makinde Defends 3SC Record, Urges Fans To Keep Faith

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has declared that he has fulfilled all his promises to Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, insisting that he deserves commendation from the club’s supporters.

Makinde stated this on Sunday night during an interview on a radio station in Ibadan, where he highlighted the achievements of the club under his administration.

“On 3SC, I think I deserve commendation. When we assumed office in 2019, I promised that our administration would return 3SC to the premiership, and we were able to do that.

“I also promised that the club would play on the continent within two years, which they did this year,” said the governor, who is the Allied People’s Movement (APM) presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.

Reacting to the club’s recent poor form, which has raised concerns among its supporters, Makinde urged them to remain patient and continue supporting the team, expressing confidence that the Oluyole Warriors would soon bounce back.

“If I’m correct, I think we are just in Week Seven or Week Eight of the season. They will still rediscover their form.

“As human beings, at some point, you can also drop in form and recover later. So, I believe what is happening to 3SC is a temporary loss of form,” the governor said, while appealing for continued support for the team.

“Let us continue to support them. Let’s go to the stadium to cheer them up, and I am sure they will do well,” Makinde concluded.
