Bassey Unlucky As Fulham Fall To Chelsea

Nigeria defender Calvin Bassey was disappointed after Fulham lost 3-2 to Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday.

Chelsea handed Fulham their first defeat of the season at Craven Cottage despite a late fightback.

Bassey, who captained Fulham, said his side were unlucky but urged them to focus on upcoming matches.

“Good fight, unlucky we couldn’t take it back. We carry on building. Thanks for the support,” he wrote on Instagram.

Joao Pedro gave Chelsea an early lead before Joshua King equalised for Fulham. Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer then extended Chelsea’s advantage, while Gonzalo Garcia pulled one back for the hosts.

Fulham pushed for an equaliser, but Chelsea held on for their first win of the season.
