Lagos Moves To Strengthen Business, Cultural Tourism Through Partnership With OTL Downstream
The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with OTL Downstream Development in Africa to promote tourism and position Lagos as a leading business and cultural hub.
The commitment was made during a visit by OTL Downstream’s management team, led by CEO Mrs. Joyce Alabogu, to the ministry’s headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja.
The visit was part of preparations for OTL Downstream’s 20th anniversary, scheduled for October 25 to 30, 2026, with discussions focused on showcasing Lagos’ tourism, arts and cultural assets to local and international delegates.
Representing the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila, Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Taoreed Dosunmu, welcomed the delegation and congratulated OTL Downstream on its contributions to Africa’s downstream energy sector.
Dosunmu said tourism, entertainment, arts and culture are key pillars of the Lagos State THEMES+ Agenda, noting their importance to economic growth, job creation and global visibility.
He assured the ministry’s readiness to collaborate with OTL Downstream to create memorable experiences for delegates, including tours of key attractions and heritage sites across Lagos.
Alabogu thanked the ministry for the warm reception and said the anniversary would offer delegates curated experiences of Lagos’ tourism and cultural sites.
She added that the partnership would strengthen Lagos’ reputation as a destination for business tourism, cultural exchange and investment.
The anniversary event will hold in Lagos from October 25 to 30, 2026.
