Ondo APC Rallies Support Groups Behind Tinubu’s Re-election Bid

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has called on all support groups, youth organisations and party caucuses backing President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid to unite ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The directive was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Steve Otaloro, quoting the state APC Chairman, Kolawole Babatunde, who urged members and stakeholders to put aside personal interests and work towards securing victory for the party in the next election.

Babatunde praised Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for what he described as selfless leadership, saying the governor had prioritised the party’s collective success despite not being a contender in the presidential race. He urged members to emulate the governor’s commitment to unity and mobilisation.

He said, “Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has demonstrated exemplary leadership by placing the success of the party above personal considerations. His commitment should inspire every APC member to embrace unity, discipline and purposeful mobilisation.”

The APC chairman also commended Aiyedatiwa’s decision to restructure the quarterly APC stakeholders’ meetings across the state, saying the move would broaden participation, strengthen internal democracy and ensure all critical stakeholders were carried along in the party’s affairs.

According to him, the expanded stakeholders’ forum, which brings together leaders from the 203 wards in Ondo State, has become a key platform for consultations, mobilisation and strategic planning ahead of future elections.

“Our strength has always been our unity. By expanding the stakeholders’ structure to include every relevant voice, Governor Aiyedatiwa is deepening internal cohesion and ensuring that no genuine stakeholder is left behind,” Babatunde said.
