Tinubu Hails Oando CEO Adewale At 59

 

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Group Chief Executive of Oando Plc, Adewale Tinubu, on his 59th birthday, commending his contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector and economic development.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the Oando boss as an entrepreneur whose leadership transformed Oando from a petroleum marketing company into a fully integrated energy group with upstream, midstream and downstream operations.

The President also acknowledged Adewale Tinubu’s role in creating jobs and driving major investments in the oil and gas industry, including Oando’s acquisition of ConocoPhillips’ Nigerian assets and the company’s listings on the Nigerian and South African stock exchanges.

According to the statement, the President praised the businessman for promoting local content in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector by supporting indigenous participation and advancing environmental sustainability initiatives.

President Tinubu further lauded the establishment of the Oando Foundation in 2011, noting that the organisation now supports more than 88 schools across the country while promoting community development and environmental sustainability.

The President wished Adewale Tinubu continued good health and prayed for the well-being of him and his family.
