An eyewitness stated that the building suddenly collapsed at about 11:40 a.m. on Thursday. The incident disrupted normal activities in the neighbourhood, with people fleeing surrounding buildings for safety.
The exact number of casualties and those trapped remained unknown as of the time of filing this report.
