The immediate past Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area in Lagos State, Monsuru Oloyede, popularly known as OBE, has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency II seat with a total of 8,252 votes.
Oloyede defeated two former commissioners, Kehinde Bamigbetan and Ganiyu Johnson, alongside five other aspirants, including Dr. Rasheed Alausa, Kayode Ademiluyi and Segun Tomori.
The former council chairman secured victory across the wards with a wide margin to clinch the party’s ticket for the constituency ahead of the general election.
Former lawmaker Ganiyu Johnson came second with 1,152 votes, while Kehinde Bamigbetan polled 838 votes to finish third.
Other aspirants recorded lower figures, with Dickson Okpara polling 36 votes, Angela Olayinka securing 77 votes, Kayode Ademiluyi polling four votes, and Dr. Rasheed Alausa recording 29 votes.
Isaac Nnaji garnered 500 votes in the exercise.
