FirstBank Promotes Digital Banking With Easy FirstMobile Registration Process
First Bank of Nigeria has highlighted the benefits of its mobile banking application, FirstMobile, as part of efforts to make banking services more accessible and convenient for customers across Nigeria.
The bank noted that mobile banking has evolved from being a luxury to an essential financial tool, enabling customers to carry out transactions without visiting banking halls or standing in long queues.
According to FirstBank, the FirstMobile app allows users to manage their accounts directly from their smartphones, offering services such as balance checks, fund transfers, bill payments, transaction monitoring, and beneficiary management.
The bank explained that the platform is designed with enhanced security features, including One-Time Passwords (OTPs), transaction PINs, biometric authentication, and instant transaction notifications to ensure safe and secure banking experiences for users.
FirstBank also outlined the steps for downloading and activating the application. Customers are required to search for “FirstMobile” on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, install the app, and select the “Get Started” option.
Users can register either with their debit card details or Bank Verification Number (BVN), after which an OTP will be sent via SMS for identity verification. Customers are then expected to create a five-digit login PIN, answer security questions, and set up a four-digit transaction PIN to complete the registration process.
The bank emphasized that the app provides customers with round-the-clock access to banking services, allowing them to conduct transactions anytime and from anywhere.
FirstBank stated that the initiative reflects its commitment to digital innovation and customer convenience, adding that FirstMobile enables customers to stay connected to their finances securely and efficiently.
