Osimhen Fires Galatasaray To Derby Rout Over Fenerbahçe

Nigerian international Victor Osimhen made a commanding return to the starting lineup, scoring as Galatasaray thrashed rivals Fenerbahçe 3-0 in their Turkish Süper Lig clash on Sunday.

After a brief substitute appearance in midweek, Osimhen was handed a start and made an immediate impact, breaking the deadlock just before halftime. The striker showed composure and sharpness, controlling a pass from Mario Lemina before calmly slotting home.

Galatasaray strengthened their grip after the break, with Barış Alper Yılmaz converting from the penalty spot to double the lead, while Lucas Torreira added a third to seal a dominant victory.

Osimhen remained central to Galatasaray’s attacking play throughout, consistently troubling the defence and linking up effectively in an impressive team performance. His goal marked a strong return from injury, taking his league tally to 13 goals and four assists in 20 appearances.

The result moves Galatasaray seven points clear at the top of the Turkish Süper Lig with three matches remaining, putting them firmly on course to retain the title, with Osimhen once again leading the charge.
