Remi Oseni Declares Oyo South Senatorial Bid, Vows Continuity Of Development

A member of the House of Representatives representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Hon. Remi Oseni, has formally declared his intention to contest the Oyo South Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a gathering of party leaders, supporters, and stakeholders in Ibadan on Sunday, Oseni disclosed that his ambition is driven by a commitment to expanded public service rather than personal political advancement.
He described his political journey as a “movement for justice, equity, and development,” noting that his structure now spans all 33 LGAs of Oyo State.
Oseni further highlighted his legislative record, including infrastructure projects, education support, healthcare interventions, and empowerment programmes for youths, women, traders, and artisans.
He also pledged stronger focus on job creation, education, and healthcare if elected senator.
Reaffirming loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), he said his political network would support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
“I have served well, and I am ready to serve more,” Oseni said, adding that his senatorial ambition is a continuation of service to the people.
Reacting, Oyo South Senator Sharafadeen Alli urged party members to support Oseni, describing him as a committed grassroots politician with proven dedication.
