The Lagos State Government has conducted a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for applicants of its Graduate Internship Placement Programme (GIPP), reinforcing its commitment to transparent and merit-based youth empowerment.
The test, organised by the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, took place at the Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) as part of the programme’s selection process.
A large number of qualified graduates participated in the exercise, which was conducted in an orderly and conducive environment.
Speaking on the exercise, the Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, commended the candidates for their peaceful conduct and reiterated the government’s resolve to expand sustainable employment opportunities for young people.
He described the Graduate Internship Placement Programme as a strategic initiative designed to equip graduates with practical workplace experience, enhance their employability, and bridge the gap between academic training and industry demands.
Ajigbotafe noted that candidates who successfully pass the CBT would proceed to the next stage of the selection process, emphasising that the exercise aligns with the state government’s commitment to transparency and merit.
He said successful candidates would be guaranteed placement under the programme, stressing that the initiative remains a key pillar of the government’s youth development and economic growth agenda.
