Former Super Eagles stars Samson Siasia and Daniel Amokachi are among the coaches who have applied to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to lead the country’s U-23 team.
Both men are seeking a return to the role, having managed the side at different times in the past.
Siasia guided the team to a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He has also coached the Super Eagles and the U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles.
The NFF is expected to appoint a new coach for the U-23 side to replace Salisu Yusuf, who previously held the position.
