PDP Begins Three-Week Digital Registration Drive Across 36 States, FCT

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the commencement of a nationwide digital membership registration exercise across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The exercise, scheduled to begin on Monday, March 2, 2026, will run for three weeks, according to a press statement issued by the party’s National Public Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong.

Ememobong said the initiative is aimed at compiling a comprehensive digital membership register in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2026, which mandates all political parties to submit an updated digital register of their members to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He explained that registration will take place daily, except on Sundays, at all Ward, Chapter and State offices of the party nationwide. Special cases, he added, will be handled at the PDP National Secretariat.

To ensure a smooth and transparent process, the NWC has constituted a special committee to oversee the exercise and address any complaints that may arise. The committee is chaired by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Hon. Theophilus Daka Shan.

The PDP urged its members and interested members of the public to visit the nearest party office within their ward to participate in the registration within the stipulated period.

For further information and enquiries, the party directed members to send an email to info@iampdp.org.
