Properties worth millions of naira were destroyed as fire razed a building at 1, Anore Street, Ajegunle, Boundary area in Lagos State.
This was disclosed on Thursday by the Lagos Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, in a post on his facebook page.
Omotoso said that preliminary report disclosed the fire occurred after a power surge.
According to him, emergency workers have stopped the fire but the cause of the fire remains unknown.
The post read, ” Emergency workers have stopped the fire a fire at 1, Anore Street, Ajegunle, Boundary, Lagos.
“The cause of the fire remains unknown, but a preliminary report said it occurred after a power surge.
“No casualties. First responders, including LASEMA, remain at the scene”.
