PDP Stakeholders Hold Emergency Meeting, Reaffirm Timeline For National Convention

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee led by Ambassador Umar Damagun on Thursday night held an emergency meeting in Abuja ahead of the Ibadan National Convention scheduled for November 15 and 16, 2025.
Sources within the party disclosed that the emergency meeting was also attended by some serving and former governors of the PDP, members of the Board of Trustees and state chairmen.

It was gathered that the stakeholders unanimously resolved that the national convention timeline remain irrevocable dates.

Meanwhile, the party in a post on its facebook page this morning ( Friday), splashed pictures believed to be from the midnight emergency meeting.
In the post, the PDP said the November 15-16 dates sacrosanct, stating that the stakeholders reaffirmed timeline for the national convention.

It read, ” November 15–16 Dates Sacrosanct: PDP Stakeholders Reaffirm Timeline for National Convention
“In a unanimous resolution, Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have reaffirmed that November 15 and 16, 2025, remain the irrevocable dates for the party’s 2025 Elective National Convention.
“The emergency stakeholders’ meeting, held last night at the Bauchi State Governors Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, was attended by National Working Committee Members, serving and former governors, National Assembly members, Board Of Trustee members, and state party chairmen among others”.
