The Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), Prof. Tunji Olaopa, has assured civil servants sitting for the 2025 Directorate Level Promotion Examination of the Commission’s commitment to easing the inconveniences associated with the process.
In a statement issued on Monday, Olaopa appealed for candidates’ understanding as the Commission transitions to a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format for the exercise, acknowledging that such innovations may initially present some logistical challenges.
He noted that the FCSC is aware of concerns raised on social media regarding the conduct of the examinations in Abuja and is taking steps to address them.
“Transition from manual examinations to CBT comes with its attendant hurdles, both for the FCSC and the candidates,” Olaopa said.
“As the Commission leverages JAMB facilities for the conduct of the 2025 Directorate Level CBT Examination, we are not only concerned about ensuring credibility and transparency in the process but also about the convenience of candidates. This informed the decision to commence the first phase at JAMB Centres within the FCT,” he added.
Olaopa further disclosed that, based on public feedback, the Commission is considering decentralising future examinations to centres across the 36 states and the FCT, with plans to adopt additional technology-driven innovations to make the process more seamless.
