The General Manager of the Edo State Community and Social Development Agency (Edo-CSDA), Ms. Ivie Idahosa, has reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with local governments to promote sustainable, people-driven development projects across the state.
Ms. Idahosa stated this while receiving the Acting Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council, Mr. Gabriel Iduseri, who led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the agency’s office in Benin City.
She described the visit as a demonstration of shared purpose in community development and commended Iduseri for identifying with the agency’s mission.
“Communities trust us because we deliver. Every project we embark on is people-centered. We don’t just build infrastructure; we build confidence, ownership, and sustainability,” Idahosa said. “The beauty of our work is that communities see the results themselves, and that’s why they trust us. For us, development is not about what we give to the people but what we build with them.”
The General Manager also appreciated Governor Monday Okpebholo for his continued support to the agency, describing him as a leader passionate about inclusive and sustainable development. “We are blessed to have a governor who is deeply committed to grassroots development and ensures that the needs of the people are met through our agency,” she added.
In his remarks, Mr. Iduseri commended Edo-CSDA for its visible impact across communities in the state, noting that the purpose of his visit was to strengthen collaboration and align the council’s initiatives with the agency’s programs.
“We have come here today because we can see what Edo-CSDA is doing. The results speak for themselves, and we want to be partners in progress,” he said. “Our visit is to understand the agency’s operational framework and explore ways we can work together to deliver more development to our people.”
He further noted that Governor Okpebholo’s administration places strong emphasis on grassroots empowerment and infrastructural development, stressing that Oredo Local Government remains committed to supporting the governor’s vision for a more prosperous and inclusive Edo State.
