PDP Names Screening Committee for 2025 National Convention

…Screening to hold October 28 ahead of Ibadan convention
The National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the appointment of a 13-member Screening Committee to vet all aspirants for national offices ahead of the party’s 2025 Elective National Convention.
According to a statement signed by the NCOC Chairman and Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on Saturday, the committee will conduct the screening exercise on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in preparation for the convention scheduled to hold from Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
Leading the Screening Committee is Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) as Chairman, while Hon. Mohammed L.S. Diri (SAN) will serve as Deputy Chairman. Asue Ighodalo (Esq.) was named Secretary, with Barr. Jacob Otorkpa as Deputy Secretary.
Other members of the committee include Emmanuel Enoidem (SAN), Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Chief Mrs. Aduke Maina, Iyom Josephine Anenih, Achike Udenwa, Hajiya Maryam Inna Ciroma, Hon. Felix Hassan Hyat, and Hajiya Zainab Maina. Chinedu Nwachukwu will serve as Member/Administrative Secretary.
“The NCOC expects exemplary conduct and strict adherence to the party’s rules and regulations during this crucial assignment,” the statement added.
The screening marks a key preparatory step toward the PDP’s national convention, where new members of the National Working Committee (NWC) are expected to emerge.
