Erhurun Uneme Community Honors Okpebholo’s Aide For Outstanding Service, Leadership
The Erhurun Uneme Community in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area (LGA) of Edo State has hosted a grand reception in honour of the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Chief Bisi Idaomi, in recognition of her exceptional achievements in the Public Service, particularly her leadership in promoting women’s rights, advancing social welfare and championing community development in the State.
The event was graced by dignitaries including the State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, Senior Government Officials, political leaders, traditional rulers, community stakeholders and representatives from various organisations.
Speaking at the event, Sen. Okpebholo, represented by his Special Adviser on Religious Matters, Apostle Sule Faraday, commended Chief Idaomi for her commitment to excellence and her remarkable contributions in advancing the rights of the vulnerable and promoting social development in the State.
While expressing deep appreciation to the people, Chief Idaomi reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, grassroot empowerment, and the upliftment of the people. She emphasized that the recognition was both humbling and deeply inspiring, describing it as a reminder of purpose, equity and a renewed motivation to do better.
She also commended the progressive leadership of Sen. Okpebholo and appreciated him for the opportunity given her to serve the people, saying the administration is dedicated to delivering meaningful development across the State. In her words, “This is just the beginning. Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, our people will continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy”. Therefore, she urged the community to remain focused and to work collectively towards a shared progressive future of the State.
In the light of this event, The Chairman of Akoko-Edo LGA, Hon. Alabi Oshionogue expressed his admiration for Chief Idaomi’s leadership qualities and unrelenting dedication to improving the lives of her people. He appreciated her numerous achievements, stating that her passion for positive change and integrity had garnered widespread respect and trust within the Community.
