Heavy security has been deployed around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court headquarters in Abuja, where former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello is set to be arraigned this morning (Wednesday).
Heavily armed operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are stationed at key points, with all access roads to the court premises heavily secured.
Bello, dressed in a white Babanriga and appearing cheerful, arrived at the courtroom to chants of “Saaki” from his supporters and political aides.
The former governor voluntarily reported to the EFCC on Tuesday, accompanied by his legal team.
Justice Maryann Anenih is expected to preside over the arraignment.
