A 10-storey building on Broad Street in Lagos Island local government area of Lagos State has caught fire.
The fire engulfed the popular Mandilas building in the area starting from the first floor of the building and has escalated to the fourth floor.
Although, the cause of the fire was unknown as at the time of filing this report.
Confirming the incident, the Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, said that the emergency responders from the Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu Fire Stations were actively working at the scene to prevent further escalation and bring the situation under control.
This would be the first fire incident recorded in 2024 in Lagos state.
