Oyintiloye Urges FCC Chairman To Ensure Fair Federal Recruitment

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has urged the Federal Character Commission (FCC) to resist pressure from influential Nigerians and ensure transparent, equal access to federal employment.

Oyintiloye made the call on Sunday in Osogbo while urging the commission’s new chairman, Hon. Ayo Omidiran, to sustain reforms, improve transparency and restore public confidence.

He charged Omidiran to resist intimidation and ensure that merit, fairness and federal character guide recruitment, noting the FCC’s constitutional role in promoting equitable opportunities.

Oyintiloye commended the commission for acknowledging concerns over unfair recruitment and alleged corruption, describing the move as vital to institutional reform.

“With the repositioning of the FCC, Nigerians should be hopeful that the commission will listen to their concerns and remain committed to ensuring equal access to employment opportunities,” he said.

He urged the leadership to prevent manipulation and ensure that recruitment is based on merit, fairness and transparency rather than connections or inducement.

Oyintiloye expressed confidence that sustained reforms would make the FCC a stronger, more credible and people-centred institution. He also encouraged job seekers to apply for government opportunities whenever recruitment exercises are announced.
