Former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has been bereaved following the death of her husband, Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun.
In a statement issued on behalf of the family by C. A. Adeosun, it was announced that Anthony Adeosun passed away in Lagos on Wednesday at the age of 62.
He is survived by his wife, children, and siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.
The family said details of the funeral and Christian burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
“Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the assurance of God’s Word: ‘Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord… that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them’ (Revelation 14:13),” the statement read.
The family also appealed for privacy as they mourn their loss.
“The family requests privacy during this difficult period as we grieve our irreplaceable loss. Details of the funeral and Christian burial arrangements will be communicated in due course. We thank all who have reached out with prayers, condolences, and support,” the statement added.
