The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has announced the match officials for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between defending champions Argentina and Spain.
According to the world football governing body, Slovenian referee Slavko Vinčić will officiate Sunday’s final as the centre referee. The appointments were announced on FIFA’s official X account on Friday.
Vinčić will be assisted by fellow Slovenians Tomaž Klančnik and Andraž Kovačič as the first and second assistant referees, respectively.
Jordan’s Adham Makhadmeh has been named fourth official, while Mohammad Alkalaf will serve as the reserve assistant referee.
The final will be played at the 80,663-capacity New York New Jersey Stadium in the United States.
Spain booked their place in the final after defeating France 2-0 in the first semi-final, while Argentina staged a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over England to set up the title clash.
The match will be the 104th and final fixture of the expanded 48-team tournament. Argentina will be aiming to successfully defend the title they won in Qatar in 2022, while Spain will be seeking to lift the World Cup for the second time after their maiden triumph in 2010.
