Abidoun Hails IGP Disu’s Operation Kosaye Success

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commended the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Olatunji Disu, for launching the joint Ogun-Lagos security operation, Operation Kosaye, describing it as a bold, proactive and intelligence-driven initiative that has improved security in both states.

The governor, in a statement on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinm said the operation has recorded major successes, including raids on forests and criminal hideouts along the Ogun-Lagos corridor, the arrest of suspects, the neutralisation of bandits and the rescue of kidnapped victims.

Abiodun said the gains have boosted public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force and made Ogun and Lagos increasingly unsafe for kidnappers and other violent criminals.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies with logistics, technology and other resources to strengthen policing and protect lives and property.

The governor also praised the Commissioners of Police in Ogun and Lagos, CP Bode Ojajuni and CP Tijani Fatai, and all officers involved in Operation Kosaye for their professionalism and dedication.

He said the operation shows the value of collaboration, intelligence sharing and coordinated inter-state action in tackling crime, and urged other states to adopt similar security partnerships.

Abiodun restated his commitment to sustained investment in security infrastructure and operational support to maintain peace, law and order across Ogun State.
