Celtic FC Title Win Boosts Nigerian Stars Abroad

The emergence of Celtic F.C. as champions of the Scottish Premiership has further increased the number of Nigerian players who have won league titles with their clubs abroad this season.
Celtic on Saturday defeated Heart of Midlothian F.C. 3-1 to secure the Scottish top-flight title, with Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho part of the victorious squad.
Iheanacho played a key role in Celtic’s successful title campaign, contributing important performances during the season.
The former Leicester City forward now joins Victor Osimhen, who inspired Galatasaray S.K. to win the Turkish Super Lig title.
The duo of Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi also ended the season on a high after their club, FC Porto, clinched the Portuguese top-flight league title.
Other Nigerians who celebrated league success abroad include goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, whose club AC Omonia won the Cypriot First Division title.
Also among the Nigerian players who emerged league champions this season is Yusuf Babatunde, who enjoyed title success with his club abroad.
