The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, as Chairman of the Ekiti State Governorship Election Campaign Council.
In a letter dated April 24, 2026, and signed by the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, the party said the appointment recognises Governor Sani’s “distinguished leadership, political experience, and commitment to the success of our party in this critical election.”
The letter, addressed to the governor at the Kaduna State Government House, also conveyed a formal invitation to the official flag-off rally for the Ekiti State governorship campaign, scheduled for April 27, 2026.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had scheduled the governorship election in Ekiti for June 20.
