Ranking Boost: Super Eagles Rise To 26th Globally With 1,586 Points

Despite missing out on qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and finishing third at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria’s Super Eagles have recorded an upward movement in the latest FIFA rankings.
According to the rankings released by world football’s governing body, Nigeria has risen to 26th position globally and now ranks third in Africa.
FIFA disclosed that the Super Eagles accumulated 1,586.89 points during the period under review.
Morocco’s Atlas Lions continue to lead the African rankings, sitting 8th in the world with 1,753.7 points, followed by Senegal in second place on the continent.
