Mosan-Okunola LCDA Boss Swears In 15 Appointees, Warns Against Disunity

 

 

 

The Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area has sworn in 15 Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers, with a strong warning against disunity and internal divisions within the administration.

The swearing-in ceremony took place on Tuesday, following a rigorous screening exercise conducted a day earlier by the legislative arm of the council, led by the Council Leader, Hon. Tosin Babatunde Afuwape SNR.

Those inaugurated include Precilia Olatoyin Oduntan Adekeye, Odumosu Maria Bose, Badekale Adeniji James, Orimolade Ayomikunle Olugbenga, Mohammed Afeez Temitope, Ganiu Olalekan, and Adioliwo Andrew Frank, among others.

The event was attended by key officials, including the Chairman, Akindele Adunni Opeyemi; Vice Chairman, Hon. Akintola Falade; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Abdulhameed Ayodele Alawaye; and other top management staff.

The oath of office and allegiance were administered by the Council’s Legal Unit Head, Barr. Kofoworola Quadri, alongside Barr. Ayoola Balogun.

Addressing the appointees, the chairman congratulated them and urged them to shun factional politics, stressing that the council operates as a unified body without divisions or caucuses.

She emphasized that the selection process was merit-based and independently handled by the legislative arm, assuring the new officials that they earned their positions through a transparent process.

Akindele further called for teamwork and harmony, urging the appointees to work closely with career officers and contribute their best efforts toward the development of the LCDA.
