Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, have arrived at Chinua Achebe Airport, Umueri, on Tuesday ahead of the second-term inauguration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

A video shared by Anambra State New Media, via its X handle, on Tuesday, March 17, confirmed the arrivals.

The caption reads: “Vice President Kashim Shettima and Former President Olusegun Obasanjo arrive at Chinua Achebe Airport, Umueri, for Soludo’s second-term inauguration. Former President Goodluck Jonathan arrives at Chinua Achebe Airport, Umueri, for Soludo’s second term.”

Their arrival follows earlier reports that the Vice President and the former Presidents were expected in the state for the ceremony, which is being held at the newly renovated Alex Ekwueme Square.

The inauguration is expected to attract dignitaries, including traditional rulers from Anambra’s 179 communities, as well as monarchs from other parts of Nigeria.

Soludo secured re-election on November 8, 2025, under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), which has mobilised members from all 326 political wards to participate in the inauguration.
