Lagos APC Hails Successful Congresses, Says Party Remains Nigeria’s Model Of Organisation
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the successful conduct of its electronic membership registration and recent party congresses as evidence of its strong organisational structure and internal discipline.
In a statement issued on Friday, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, said the exercises further demonstrated why the APC remains a leading example of party organisation and democratic order in Nigeria.
Oladejo said the party recorded what he described as a “resounding success” with its electronic membership registration and the seamless conduct of congresses across wards and local governments in Lagos State.
According to him, the congresses were conducted peacefully and transparently, in strict adherence to constitutional guidelines, with massive participation by party members.
He said the process reflected unity within the party and readiness for future political engagements.
“Across wards and local governments in Lagos State, our congresses were conducted peacefully, transparently, and in strict compliance with constitutional guidelines. Participation was massive and the process was orderly,” the statement said.
The party spokesman also highlighted the composition of the newly elected state executive committee, noting that it reflects a balance of experience and youthful energy.
He added that the leadership team represents a mix of continuity and renewal, as well as deliberate gender balancing aimed at strengthening the party’s structure and advancing its political objectives.
Oladejo took a swipe at opposition parties, urging them to focus on building internal cohesion and organisation rather than engaging in propaganda or factional disputes.
According to him, politics requires discipline, coordination and effective leadership rather than “noise-making” or social media agitation.
He maintained that the organisational strength of the APC has been a key factor behind the party’s continued dominance in Lagos State and its growing influence across the country.
The spokesman also said the developments reaffirm the confidence Lagos residents have in the ruling party as a credible political platform capable of delivering stability and progress.
Oladejo added that the party remains united and prepared for future electoral contests, stressing that it would not be distracted by criticism from opposition groups.
“The APC in Lagos stands disciplined, cohesive and battle-ready,” he said, expressing confidence that voters would again support the party when the time comes.
