Ojelabi, Oladejo Secure Fresh Mandate As Lagos APC Leaders Applaud Transparent State Congress
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has re-elected Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi as the State Chairman for another term, following a successful and well-attended State Party Congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Tuesday.
Also re-elected are; Hon. Seye Oladejo (Publicity Secretary), Com. Ayodele Adewale, (Organising Secretary), Banjo Adedoyin (Financial Secretary), among others.
The congress drew party faithful, delegates, stakeholders and leaders from across the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas of the state, reaffirming the confidence of members in Ojelabi’s leadership and strategic direction.
Ojelabi’s re-election is widely seen as a testament to his stewardship, party cohesion efforts, and his role in consolidating the APC’s dominance in Lagos politics. Under his leadership, the party has maintained structural stability, strengthened grassroots mobilization, and sustained electoral victories across various polls in the state.
Meanwhile, the governor of the State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and party leaders commended the transparent and peaceful conduct of the exercise, describing it as a reflection of internal democracy and unity within the Lagos APC fold.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized party unity, discipline, and collective responsibility, urging members to remain committed to the ideals and progressive vision that continue to shape governance in Lagos State.
He expressed optimism that the renewed mandate would further reposition the party ahead of future political engagements.
In his acceptance remarks, Ojelabi thanked delegates and party leaders for the trust reposed in him, pledging to deepen inclusiveness, enhance reconciliation efforts, and strengthen the party’s structure from the ward to the state level.
The congress concluded with a resounding show of solidarity among members, reinforcing Lagos APC’s resolve to remain a formidable political force in the state and beyond.
