By-Election Results Confirm Nigerians’ Confidence In Tinubu Leadership, Renewed Hope Agenda- Lagos APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has described the outcome of the recent by-elections in Rivers, Kano and the Federal Capital Territory as a referendum on the presidency of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the Lagos APC Spokesman, Seye Oladejo, the party expressed appreciation to voters in Rivers State, Kano State and the Federal Capital Territory, as well as Nigerians nationwide, for what it described as overwhelming support for the ruling party during the polls.

Oladejo said the victories recorded by APC candidates across the affected constituencies reaffirmed public confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that the results underscored what he called the electorate’s endorsement of ongoing economic reforms, infrastructural development and institutional strengthening efforts at both federal and state levels.

The statement argued that the ballot results showed Nigerians recognise “bold leadership” and understand that nation-building requires patience, courage and continuity.

The Lagos APC further described the results as a setback for opposition parties, accusing them of relying on rhetoric and sensationalism rather than presenting credible alternatives. It maintained that voters had delivered a “firm and democratic verdict” through the elections.

The statement also downplayed the influence of social media in determining electoral outcomes, stating that digital activism and online trends did not translate into votes at the ballot box. It insisted that democracy is ultimately decided by voters and not by what it termed “virtual noise.”

Looking ahead, the party said the momentum from the by-elections signals positive prospects for the APC in the 2027 general elections, adding that the performance of the current administration would continue to earn the trust of Nigerians.

The Lagos APC commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting the elections and praised security agencies for maintaining peace and order during the process.

It also lauded party members, campaign teams and volunteers for their grassroots mobilisation efforts, reiterating its support for President Tinubu and calling on Nigerians to work together toward national development.
