BREAKING: Sanwo-Olu Swears In Obasa’s Son as Substantive Agege LG Chairman

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sworn in Abdul-Ganiyu Obasa as the substantive Chairman of Agege Local Government.
Obasa, the son of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, was inaugurated on Monday at the State House in Alausa, Ikeja.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged the new chairman to prioritise community development and ensure that his administration aligns closely with the vision and policies of the state government.
Abdul-Ganiyu Obasa formally assumes office following the resignation of the former chairman, Tunde Azeez, popularly known as Disco, who stepped down about a month ago due to persistent health challenges.
Azeez’s resignation letter, read by the Leader of the legislative arm of the council, Adeshina Haruna, stated that his health condition had significantly affected his ability to perform his duties. He had been on medical leave since the inauguration of the current council administration.
