FRSC Lagos Shines As Sector Command, Commander Emerge Nigeria’s Best For 2024

 

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos State Sector Command, has emerged overall first in the 2024 Annual Command Assessment, outperforming all other Sector Commands across the country.

Additionally, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Ganiyu Hamzat, was ranked first nationwide among all Sector Commanders for exemplary performance and outstanding leadership throughout the assessment period.

The recognition was announced during the Fourth Quarter Strategy Session held at the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja, where the Corps Marshal, Mallam Shehu Mohammed, commended commanding officers for their contributions to the Corps’ safety mandate and urged them to intensify operational effectiveness as the year draws to a close.

In his address, the Corps Marshal noted that the final weeks of the year require uncompromising discipline, increased operational visibility, and a renewed tactical push toward achieving safer roads nationwide. He challenged senior officers to raise performance standards, strengthen enforcement activities, and deliver measurable results.

Reaffirming the Corps’ commitment to a crash-free December, the Corps Marshal encouraged commanders to demonstrate bold leadership, motivate their personnel, and sustain the Corps’ resolve to protect lives and property on Nigerian roads.

Receiving the award on behalf of the Lagos Sector Command, Corps Commander Hamzat expressed appreciation to the Corps Marshal for the confidence reposed in the Command. He dedicated the achievement to the officers and men of the Lagos Sector Command, noting that their professionalism and unwavering dedication made the accomplishment possible.

He further reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining its leadership position through intensified public enlightenment, strategic partnerships, effective enforcement operations, and continued collaboration with sister security agencies and stakeholders to enhance road safety across Lagos State.

The Lagos Sector Command reiterated its dedication to advancing the FRSC’s mandate of reducing road traffic crashes, minimizing injuries and fatalities, and promoting responsible road use among Nigerians.
