Ejigbo Traditional Leaders Laud Council Chairman For Championing Cultural Preservation, Indigenous Values
In recognition of his consistent support for cultural preservation in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, The Iledi Iyadunsin of Ejigbo, under the Confederation of Ogboni Aborijin of Nigeria, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Aare Taoheed Taiwo, popularly known as TAT.
The delegation was led by the Chief Oluwo of Ejigbo, Prince Mukaila Imakiyo, alongside other esteemed traditional leaders including the Apena of Ejigbo, the Ajaguna of Ejigbo, Ifa-Tayo Ogunde, and Erebus Basira.
The Chief Oluwo commended Taiwo for his openness to traditional institutions and unwavering commitment to safeguarding Ejigbo’s indigenous values.
He noted that the Chairman’s leadership continues to strengthen unity, cultural continuity, and respect for ancestral heritage.
Responding, the Council Chairman expressed appreciation for the visit, reaffirming his administration’s resolve to uphold and promote Ejigbo’s cultural identity.
He emphasized that traditional institutions remain vital partners in peacebuilding, moral grounding, and grassroots cohesion.
The visit concluded with prayers, blessings, and renewed goodwill, reinforcing the bond between the council administration and custodians of Ejigbo’s heritage.
