The Oba of Lagos, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rilwan Babatunde Osuolale Aremu Akiolu, has announced Saturday, December 27, 2025, as the date for the Adamu Orisa Play.
Oba Akiolu made the announcement during a press conference held at his Idunganran Palace on Lagos Island.
According to the monarch, the 2025 edition of the Adamu Orisa Play will be staged in honour of three illustrious Lagosians: the late Iya Oloja General of Nigeria, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji; former Lagos State Governor, Alhaji Lateef Jakande; and former Governor, Sir Michael Otedola.
The Oba affirmed that preparations for the cultural procession have already commenced at the palace in readiness for the historic event.
