“Social Party of Intoxicated Delegates”: Olayinka Mocks PDP Over Wike’s Expulsion
Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reacted to the expulsion of Wike by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), mocking the convention taking place in Ibadan, Oyo State.
In a post shared on his Facebook page on Saturday, Olayinka described the gathering as “Dirty December in November, saying “They went to Ibadan to start Dirty December in November. When people decide to start their own Dirty December in November, one can’t help but ignore whatever comes out of their mouths,”
He further described the convention as a “social party,” alleging that the “intoxicated” delegates were merely making baseless proclamations.
Olayinka’s reaction followed the decision reportedly reached by delegates at the convention to expel his principal, Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, PDP National Secretary, Senator Sam Anyanwu, and the party’s Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade.
Others listed for expulsion include the PDP National Organising Secretary, Umaru Bature; former Vice Chairman, South-South, Dan Orbih; South-South Zonal Secretary, George Turner; North Central Vice Chairman and factional Acting National Chairman of the party, Abdulrahman Mohammed; Imo State Chairman, Austin Nwachukwu; former presidential aspirant and factional Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa; and Abia PDP Chairman, Abraham Ammah.
