The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed a former National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Babatunde Ogala SAN, as Chairman of the Governing Council of Lagos State University (LASU).
Others appointed into the Council are; Mr Oluseyi Badmus, Mr Bode Makanjuola, Mrs Mojisola Tolagbe Taiwo, Professor Shaffudeen Amuwo, Alhaji Rafiu Adisa Ebiti, FCA, Ms Kofo Durosimi Etti, Dr Farouk Gumel, Mrs Adenike Akanbi, FCA, Mr Biodun Hundeyin and Dr Remi Desalu.
The appointment was disclosed in a press release signed by the Deputy Registrar/ Coordinator, Centre for Information and Public Relations, LASU, Thomas-Onashile, Oluwayemisi A.
” The University Community is hereby informed that the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has approved the constitution of the Governing Council of Lagos State University (LASU), in line with the administration’s commitment to strengthening governance and enhancing the quality of education in State-owned tertiary institutions.

“The appointment of the Governing Council takes effect from Friday, 31st October, 2025.
