Okpebholo Appoints Elabor DG Edo State Tourism Agency

The Edo State Government has announced the governor’s approval of Mrs.Vivian Elabor’s appointment as the Director General of Edo State Tourism Agency.
This announcement was made on Tuesday, in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, who recalled Mrs. Elabor’s commitment to service while acting in different capacities across the states public service. Her appointment is to take immediate effect.
Going through her profile, Mrs Eleanor is a Board Member of the Centre for Wounded Servicemen and Fallen Heroes Support Fund and was said to have demonstrated commitment to humanitarian causes and national development, while in service.
She possesses over 20 years of professional experience in media, community engagement, and public relations. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Mass Communication from the London Metropolitan University, United Kingdom, and diplomas in Theatre Arts and Healthcare Management.

Elabor has served in diverse capacities across the United Kingdom, including Head of Production and Presenter at BEN Television, London, where she produced impactful programs promoting African culture and excellence. She has also worked extensively in housing management and rehabilitation services, supporting vulnerable populations through leadership roles at Change Grow Live (CGL) and Clear Springs–Ready Homes.
According to the statement, her appointment reflects the administration’s resolve to reposition Edo State’s tourism and creative economy sector as a driver of economic diversification, cultural renaissance, and youth empowerment.
