Ayantayo Pledges Deeper Collaboration To Strengthen Human Resource Development In Lagos Public Service

The Lagos State Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Mr. Afolabi Ayantayo has reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to deepening collaboration with the Civil Service Commission.
Ayantayo gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by the Chairman and Members of the Civil Service Commission to the Ministry.
Welcoming the delegation, Ayantayo noted that both the Ministry and the Commission share a common mandate in the area of human resource development and management across the state’s civil service.
He said that this shared responsibility makes sustained cooperation and effective communication between the two agencies not just important but essential.
Whilst highlighting the Ministry’s role in organising capacity-building programmes, the Commissioner assured the Commission that its members would be considered for participation in subsequent training programmes, as part of the Ministry’s broader commitment to inclusive development across the public service.
In her remarks, the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Boladele Dapo-Thomas, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and the Commissioner’s assurance of partnership.
She acknowledged the Ministry’s pivotal role in building a skilled and professional workforce and stressed the importance of unity among all agencies involved in managing human resources within the state.
“As agencies tasked with overseeing human capital development in the public sector, it is only logical that the Ministry of Establishments and Training, the Civil Service Commission and the Public Service Office operate in unity,” Mrs. Dapo-Thomas remarked.
