The visit, which took place at the ONDIPA Headquarters in Akure, was aimed at fostering strategic collaboration towards harnessing diaspora potential, boosting regional economic integration, and attracting sustainable investments to Ondo State.
In his remarks, Akinlosotu emphasized the need for synergy between the Ministry and ONDIPA to deepen diaspora engagement and promote the state as a prime destination for global investors.
He noted that the partnership aligns perfectly with the “OUR EASE” development agenda, which underscores Openness, Unity, Reforms, Economic growth, Agriculture, Security, and Education.
The Commissioner highlighted several strategic initiatives, including a comprehensive diaspora mapping exercise, investment forums targeting Ondo indigenes abroad, and the creation of diaspora liaison structures to facilitate smoother investment processes.
Receiving the Commissioner, the ONDIPA leadership expressed their readiness to work hand-in-hand with the Ministry to attract diaspora remittances and foreign direct investments, while ensuring that investment opportunities in the state are well-marketed and supported.
Akinlosotu commended ONDIPA for its innovative and impactful approach to investment promotion and assured the agency of the Ministry’s unwavering support in all joint developmental efforts.
This visit marks a critical step in institutional collaboration to implement Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision of inclusive growth, diaspora empowerment, and regional economic transformation for the overall progress of Ondo State.
