Lent Season: Ikugbayigbe Preaches Love, Unity, Peace

…Urges Christians to Pray for Lagos, Nigeria

An aspirant for the Chairmanship position of Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area,  Femi Ikugbayigbe, has called on Christian faithful to embrace the spirit of unity and extend love to one another, embodying the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He emphasized the importance of remembering Lagos State as it approaches the upcoming local government elections and urged that Nigeria be kept in prayer during these challenging times.

Ikugbayigbe, who is contesting under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that the most fundamental way to coexist peacefully is through love and a shared purpose, as taught by Jesus Christ.

In his message, he promised to promote religious unity should he be elected as Council Chairman, and he encouraged Christians to show tolerance towards one another and to extend Christ’s love to all, including those who may not share their beliefs, especially during this Lent season and beyond.

The seasoned administrator and public affairs analyst shared this message in a press statement circulated through his media office in Lagos, today.

He remarked, “Jesus Christ set the standard while on Earth that the best way to live at peace with all men is to love our neighbors as ourselves. When you love your neighbors, you eliminate thoughts of malice and evil which is the true essence of Christianity.”

“This month of March holds special significance; I pray that God Almighty grants us all our heart’s desires in this Holy month of Lent and Ramadan,” he concluded with a heartfelt prayer.
