LASG Organises Workshop On People Management

In a bid to ensure the effective management of personnel in achieving the agenda of the State Government to transform Lagos into a Smart City, the Ministry of Establishments and Training on Friday commenced a two-day workshop for management staff in the state public service cutting across different cadres.
The workshop, with the theme: “Managing People for Strategic Advantage in the Public Service”, is being held at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Alausa with 100 participants in attendance.

Declaring the workshop open, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishments and Training, Mrs. Olubusola Abidakun, stated that effective people management was at the heart of every successful public institution, adding that the ability to nurture talent, build cohesive teams and align human resources within organisational goals was what would transform a functional workforce into a truly high-performing one.
She urged participants to take full advantage of the training to enhance their professional growth, stating that the workshop presented a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of leadership, motivation and strategic workforce planning.
Abidakun commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his commitment to human capital development and for providing the necessary funding to make the programme possible.
