The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has called on all eligible citizens to fully participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
Ojelabi made the appeal during a recent meeting with state executives of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos.
In a post on his official Facebook page, the party chairman described the meeting as a “meaningful opportunity to discuss critical issues affecting our community and nation.”
“During the meeting, I actively canvassed for full participation in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise. I emphasized the importance of every eligible citizen registering to vote, as it is the cornerstone of a vibrant democracy. By encouraging widespread involvement, we can ensure that our voices are heard in shaping the future of our state and country,” Ojelabi said.
He urged the NURTW executives to mobilise their members and networks to support the initiative, stressing that increased voter registration strengthens representation and accountability.
Ojelabi also used the opportunity to call for total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and other elected and appointed officeholders.
He said unity and collaboration were essential to driving progress in infrastructure, economic development and social welfare.
“By rallying behind our leaders, we can foster an environment of stability and growth that benefits all Nigerians, particularly those in the transport sector who play a vital role in our daily lives,” he added.
The Lagos APC chairman reaffirmed his commitment to promoting civic responsibility and supporting initiatives that advance shared goals for a prosperous Nigeria.
