First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Bags Honorary Doctorate, Urges Nigerians To Dream Big, Love Their Country

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to remain united, dream big, and demonstrate love for their country.

She made this appeal while receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, on Saturday.

Speaking at the event, which was attended by academics, captains of industry, prominent Nigerians, and graduating students, the First Lady emphasized that the country is on a path to recovery, with industries returning and foreign investors expressing interest in Nigeria.

“Let us all be ambassadors of Nigeria, committed to nurturing our environment for the good of this generation and the ones to come. Do not be afraid to dream big, and never forget love for country,” she said.

A proud alumna of the university, Senator Tinubu announced plans to rally support from her fellow honorees and stakeholders, including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, to provide campus shuttle buses for students. She also endowed four academic prizes to further support excellence at the institution.

Other recipients of honorary doctoral degrees at the event included Dr. Akinade Ogunbiyi, Professor Olusegun Adegbulugbe, Dr. Olutokun Toriola, and Dr. Daere Akobo.
